It was probably the quickest I'd ever gone
From meeting somebody to biting their tongue.
She said that she was a lesbian,
But for ten minutes, well, she didn't taste like one.

After the quickest ten minutes she'd gone.
Ten minutes later, me and my friends we left the club
To find her waiting by the door.
Next thing you know, she takes me back to my place,

Where I winced as she called me attractive
Shortly after she turned out the light.
I think I embarrassed her when I told her something similar,
Because I guess stamina suggested otherwise.

It was probably the quickest I'd ever gone
From hubris to humiliation.
We successfully dragged ten minutes of failure
Into an hour of drunken behaviour.

If I could blame it on the alcohol,
If I could blame it on my health,
If I could blame it on her,
I'd probably feel better about myself.

And I suppose I should feel guilty
About not paying for her taxi home.
And I guess I should feel emasculated
And I would if I wasn't busy feeling alone.

Quickly put your clothes back on
As if they'd never kissed my floor,
I'll find the keys whilst you find the door,
I'll find a way for you to stay ten minutes more.
Is there a way that you could stay ten minutes more?
I wouldn't complain if you happened to stay ten minutes more.
